Other things you need to know

Czechs on the whole are fairly conservative, polite, and pretty non confrontational. I’ve never experienced a hostile or aggressive atmosphere in pubs or on public transport as I have done in London, even late at night. Overall, it’s still a relatively safe city compared to many others in Europe and I have never encountered any major problems.
Having said that  one big issue in Prague is pickpockets. Don’t be too paranoid, but do take extra care of your valuables whilst on trams and tubes and anywhere where there may be crowds, especially in popular tourist areas (changing of the palace guards, Wencelas Square etc..), much the same as you would in any other big city. Pickpocket gangs here are professional and extremely quick.

Phone cards can be bought at post offices and news stands. Public telephone boxes that take coins seem rarer and rarer so a card is probably your best option. A good example are O2 cards which start from 200 Kc or Smartcall Phone Cards which start from 150 Kc to 1000 Kc.
